Tippecanoe River day canoe trip

Our annual Tippecanoe River canoe/kayak trip is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, which is also Taste of Tippecanoe day. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate this year and we can have the “Goldilocks” amount of water—not too high, not too low.

Carpool meeting place will be the Indiana State Police headquarters on IN-43 just north of I-65 exit 178 at 9:00 A.M. for the 10:00 A.M. long trip. (See attachment for details.) From there, we will drive to Hodges Canoe Rentals http://www.indianaoutfitters.com/hodges/trips.htm. Given the limited on-site parking, carpooling is recommended. A potluck lunch will take place at Richard and Linda Bloch’s home located roughly 75% of the route downstream on the trip.

Contact Anna Welch at annawelchmd@gmail.com for reservations if you’d like to participate. The higher the number of participants, the better the rate we’ll get on the rentals. Payment is cash only and is $38 per canoe, $35 per kayak. We will get a dollar off each canoe for 5-9 canoes and $2 off for 10 or more canoes. The same applies for kayaks.
